Well we are fully booked and going, with a minor glitch of one hotel being sold and then upping their room prices by 100% (so a re-route was necessary), we are done. Now we have the lovely experience of sorting out what we do want and don't want to do.
The children are excited, but rather glad mummy is not on the computer or the phone anymore (as much).
Hugo tells everyone this week that he is going to Bang-Pop (translation: Bangkok)
Lily has been right into maps lately so Bernie found an old Nancy Chandler map of Chiang Mai and she has been deciding where she would like to visit and I have been reading the words to her from that.
We will begin to ramp it up a bit after Lily's birthday and look through guide books etc then.
It's nice to share our love of travel with our poppets and see the world through their eyes.
Hugo and his map (above), which is a picture of Buckingham Palace.
Needless to say it has been a long time coming for our overseas trip. The last time we were abroad was when I was 6 months pregnant with Lily, we went to Thailand; to Chiang Mai and Bangkok, so it seems nostalgic that we are going back with our family in tow.
We wanted to wait until Hugo was 2.5yo for our sanity more than anything else.
We have travelled alot in domestically so the children have been trained on planes and love the journey.
