We had a lovely Easter day. After eating chocolate for breakfast, followed by avocado on toast, we played outside all morning as it was a perfect sunny day. Jack, Liv and Adam were here for a roast lunch and then we jumped the fence and had a campoven damper and sat around the fire drinking billy tea with our lovely neighbours.
Hugo was hilarious, as he is a sweet tooth, and was first up. I Easter Bunny was going to do an Easter egg hunt but he decided at the last minute to leave baskets outside the bedroom door instead. Hugo spotted his outside our bedroom door (as he still sleeps with us) and went out and in about three times. He was also checking out Lily's across the hall. You could feel the electric excitement pulsing through his little body. I sat up in bed and asked him: "has Easter Bunny been?".
He said, "yes. Look, wow wee!"
And brought them in to show us. He then inhaled two egg-sized choccies and wanted more.
I kicked both of them outside and they squealed up and down the driveway on their bikes and scooter at 6am. It was priceless.
Then they ate toast. It's only one day of the year that you are allowed to eat chocolate for breakfast. YUM.
